![]() ![]() When was overall okay, but it’s not a book I would recommend to anyone. It's a great read and wish there was more to this book i.e. You feel all the emotions that Maddie feels and all the characters have a life of their own. ![]() It was beautifully written and the author is descriptive. You get pulled into this storyline and don't want it to end. There was a little bit of it, but the book centered on the numbers and for good reason. ![]() I found myself not wanting to put this book down and for good reason - I had to know! I could not stand her mother and liked that this book wasn't a romance book. Maddie tries to save people with their dates but is unable to and we are taken on a beautifully written story of her trying to do that. ![]() I cannot even imagine living with a gift/curse like this. You feel bad for her, glad, sad, angry and everything else. This author gives us a wonderfully written tale of Maddie and everything she feels and you feel it with her. She is someone you will root for from the first page. We are taken on her journey of her father's death and the meaning of those numbers. I loved that Maddie could read the dates of people's deaths which she didn't even realize until her father passed away. ![]()

![]() Once freed, these beasts will roam the earth, devouring every last person until he or she is nothing but an empty husk. And she may be a Nightblood–the spawn of a vengeful deity hellbent on releasing his wraithlike Minax from their prison. She’s in love with a powerful Frost King. Ruby’s world has changed more than she ever could have imagined. Spoiler alert for Frostblood and Fireblood but not for Nightblood. I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity to share my thoughts with you now. ![]() ![]() I wasn’t sure what to expect from the finale in the trilogy, whether it would end up following in the predictable (not a bad thing) vein of the first two stories or if it would surprise me. ![]() It’s not something said as criticism, but rather a useful way of describing this book quickly, it has a lot of the tropes that people love/hate/hate to love/love to hate depending on personal preference. Hello humans! I have been known to refer to the Frostblood Saga as the most YA series to ever YA. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sadly, all agreed Brooksie just wasn’t Brooksie with her fringe curled back. You can see her like this in her first publicity shots with Pabst. ![]() ![]() Pabst wanted to avoid the comparison, so tested Brooks without the bangs. Asta Nielsen had starred in a previous Lulu adaptation, Erdgeist (1923), wearing a bob, albeit one that was longer and blunter. In 1928, when Pabst was putting together his adaptation of Frank Wedekind’s Lulu plays, Pandora’s Box, he saw Brooks in A Girl in Every Port and knew he had found his star – but he wanted to cast off the fringe. The androgynous quality suited the good-time girls and two-timers she played in movies, but was especially suited to her first romantic lead: as a lass who goes on the run in drag in Beggars of Life (1928). ![]() ![]() ![]() Learn how to dehydrate everything from apricots to zucchini and master the simple techniques needed to make your own jerky, as well as leathers, candied fruit, baby food, and more. The darkly funny tale, told in a series of reports and memos, follows crew members both human and humanoid, as they complain about the daily grind aboard the Six-Thousand Ship. Everything changes though when the ship takes on board artifacts from a planet called New Discovery. What's more relatable than griping about the repetitive and dull nature of a bad job?
